“Cherr…tomorrow is your birthday right?” asked Yuna.

“Yeah...why?”

“Do you have any plans tomorrow? I want to celebrate it with you.” 

“Plans...no, because my mom and dad are busy working. They don’t remember the date, so I guess we could celebrate together at…” I had not finished my sentence, and Yuna cut my line.

“My house at 8.00 p.m! Don’t be late! See you tomorrow. Take a good care of your health okay! Bye Cherr.”

Mom and dad are not home yet, just like yesterday. I will be alone at home. They never bother about me anymore. All they care are their jobs, clients and money. Since we’ve move to Japan…mom and dad have never had time for me. It has been a year now and I can count with my fingers how many times they were at home. This house is like my own house…as if I live by myself.

‘Uhhh…my body temperature rose. I hope that tomorrow I still can get up. It is my special day…though my parents are not here I still can celebrate it by my own’

“Cherr…wake up,” I heard a voice calling out my name. I tried to open my eyes but my eyes feel so heavy. I tried harder. As my eyes opened, I saw…

‘Ryosuke? Did I really see him?’ I pinch my cheek…it hurt!

“Cherr…Happy Birthday, sweet 16 dear.”

‘He...he wished me? God…am I dreaming? Please say I am dreaming. I…I’m just to tired and sick that is why I…’ I can’t continue thinking...I looked at Ryosuke, unblinking.

“This necklace and bracelet I bought as a present for you.” He put on the bracelet on me. It was so beautiful. It was shining just like his face. My mouth locked. I couldn’t say anything. My voice would not come out. 

“Good night Cherr…take a good care of your health. I hope that you will be better tomorrow,” as he said that he planted a kiss on my forehead. My eyes are closing….black…that was all that I saw.

‘I dreamt of Ryosuke…goshh...maybe because I slept listening to his song last night it ended up causing him to come into my dream’

 I woke up from my bed and went to the kitchen to prepare some breakfast. When I washed my hands, I saw….a bracelet on my wrist. The bracelet…it was in my dream! Hey!!! I am awake or not? I pinched my hand. Ouchhh...it hurt! I am not dreaming but how come the bracelet was on my wrist? I ran to my room and walked to the bed. I saw a small pink box on my bed. I opened it…and saw a necklace that matched with the bracelet. 

 God, what happened to me? Was it real or just a dream? Yuna! I had better call her now. I dialed her number but could not reach her. I tried to wash away all the thoughts I had in my mind but I can’t. For the whole day, I kept thinking of it and didn’t realize that it was 6 p.m now. I must get ready for the party. 

“Yuna, I am on the way to your house. I will be there in 10 minutes,” I told Yuna that when she called me. I almost forgot my dream last night.

“SURPRISE!!!!!”

As I opened Yuna’s door I heard almost 20 people shouted that.

“Happy birthday to you

  Happy birthday to you

  Happy birthday to Cherry

  Happy birthday to you”

‘Yuna was not the one who holding the cake. It was…Ryosuke? He…! Was that really…Ryosuke?’

Ryosuke walked towards me holding my cake with 16 candles on it.

“Cherr...blow out the candles dear,” Ryosuke said that softly.

“Cherr…SURPRISE!!! Sorry I didn’t tell you. This is my birthday present for you. It is Ryosuke and the rest of JUMP!” Yuna came from behind Ryosuke and explained to me.

“Girl, did the cat just get your tongue? Just blow the candles…the wax almost dropped on your cake! If you don’t want let me do it” Daiki came out from nowhere blew the candles for me. 

“Hey, Daiki! That is Cherr birthday cake and I bought those candles!” shouted Yuuri from the living room. 

“Hey, Cherr...hello anybody home?” Yuna waved in front of my face, as my eyes did not blink.

“Uhhh…sorry I was...so shocked. How did you do this?” I said to Yuna. My dream to have a birthday party with Hey!Say!JUMP came true and I was not dreaming.

“Let it be my secret with Yuna,” Ryosuke interrupted my conversation with Yuna and pulled my hands to the living room where my friends and the rest members of JUMP were there. Daiki and Yuna followed behind.

Three hours had passed and I still haven’t said a word. Everything went so fast. Suddenly I remembered my dream. I took a glance at Ryosuke. He was laughing. He looked so happy, though it was my birthday, he looked happier than I was. I looked at the bracelet on my wrist and my fingers played with the necklace that I wore.

Ryosuke pulled me to a corner and grabbed something from the present’s table. A box…and it was pink! He opened it, I saw a cute ribbon, and hair clips in it. He took out the cherry-strawberry shaped clip and put on to my hair. 

“Always remember that these clips and ribbon from me.” He planted an adoring kiss on my forehead and let go of my hands. He turned and pulled me along. 

“Yuna..it is time,” said Ryosuke to Yuna. I understand nothing of his words. Time for what? 

 Yuna walked to me and said she was sorry. I didn’t understand anything and suddenly I felt like a needle was injected into my right hand. 

“Cherr I am so sorry,” the voice was fading and my eye sight went black.

 I gained my consciousness. I saw Yuna next to me. I woke Yuna up.

“Yuna, what happened to me? Why am I in your bed?”

“Cherr...you’re awake. It was nothing you collapsed when celebrating your birthday. I guess maybe because you were still feverish. Just take a rest. I will make you some food.”

 Yuna walked out from her room and left me alone. I felt something on my head. I touched it and it seemed to be a hair clip. I unclipped it to see it.

‘Who gave me this clip? It is so beautiful.’ 

Yuna came with a tray of food and medicines.

“Yuna, who gave this hair clip to me?”

Yuna jerked. She looked away. 

“Maybe one of our friends. You got so many presents right?” 

“I know…but I could not remember who gave me this. All I can remember is the person told me to remember that this clip was from him but I could not remember who said that. Did you know something Yuna?”

“Sorry Cherr...I can’t remember. You better eat now and get some rest. I will be at downstairs. Call me if you need anything.”

‘I know that Yuna was hiding something from me. I saw a guilty look in her eyes.'

“Sorry Cherr…I am so sorry. Happy Birthday,” She whispered at the door but I still can hear her.

‘Yuna…sorry for what? This heart can’t stop wondering and it makes me hurt everytime…I want to take away this feeling...tell me Yuna..please~’………

In the pale light, the letter I wrote trembles, softly, in the wind towards eternity

The smell of being surrounded by the fleeting seasons, surely, goes to you

Last night a line was tied in order to convey two stories how much is the world starting to change and yet it is constant

I believe in the timbre played by time, it echoes deep within my chest

I wanted to convey countless times, your heart projects

Connecting love in the farthest ends, Eternity is born

In the constantly flowing melody, I asked a question:

Tell me why? Take me faraway

Wherever, whenever,

Look up at the same sky

Because I want to deliver the gathering light
Forever

The shadow of fleeting passion, I'd never like to forget it
